GTBuy questions, answered plainly.
The things beginners ask most, without the fluff. For anything time-sensitive — prices, coupons, policy — the official GTBuy site is the source of truth.
What is a GTBuy Spreadsheet?
A spreadsheet is a shared list of product links (a "W2C" — where-to-cop). You browse it to discover items on Taobao, 1688 or Weidian, then paste a link into GTBuy to order. This site is a guide to doing that; discovery itself happens on W2CSpreadsheet.com.
Is GTBuy legit / safe to use?
GTBuy is an established shopping agent that buys, quality-checks, stores and forwards items internationally. As with any agent, use good habits: check QC photos, keep records, and confirm fees and policies on the official site before paying. This guide is independent and can't speak for GTBuy's live policies.
How do I actually pay?
You pay the item cost (plus domestic shipping to the warehouse) when you order, and the international shipping later once the weight is known. Payment options are shown inside GTBuy at checkout — always confirm there.
What does QC include?
Standard QC means warehouse photos so you can inspect the item before it ships. It confirms the item looks right from the outside; it isn't a lab test. You can raise an issue before approving shipment — see reading QC photos.
How long does shipping take?
It depends on the shipping line you pick and your country — express is faster and pricier, economy is slower and cheaper. We never quote fixed days; GTBuy shows current options and estimates at checkout.
Will I pay customs or import tax?
Possibly — that's set by your own country, not the agent. The shipping fee is not the same as any duty charged when the parcel arrives. Budget for it and check your local thresholds.
Can GTBuy buy from 1688 and Weidian, not just Taobao?
Yes — all three from one account and one warehouse. 1688 in particular can be cheaper for the same item; see Routes.
What about sizing?
Chinese sizing often runs smaller than Western labels. Go by the measurements in the listing rather than the letter size, and add a buyer note if you're between sizes.
Where do I get real updates and help?
GTBuy runs a community on Discord and support inside your account. For anything about price, coupons or policy, trust the official site over any third-party page — including this one.
Do I need to speak Chinese to use GTBuy?
No. That's the entire point of an agent — GTBuy handles the Chinese-language checkout and seller communication. You paste a link, choose your options in English, and pay. See the journey.
What is consolidation, and do I have to use it?
Consolidation combines several items into one parcel so you pay international shipping once instead of many times. It's optional but it's the main way to save money — skipping it is the most common beginner mistake. More on the fees page.
Can I return something after it ships?
Returns get much harder once a parcel leaves China, which is why the QC stage matters — raise any problem while the item is still in the warehouse. Cross-border returns are possible but slow and costly; inspect first.
Is a spreadsheet the same as GTBuy?
No. The spreadsheet (on W2CSpreadsheet.com) is where you discover products; GTBuy is the agent that buys and ships them. This site connects the two. You use both together.
How do I avoid ordering the wrong thing?
Vet the listing before you buy, write a clear buyer note with exact size/colour, and actually read the QC photos before approving. The beginner mistakes page lists the rest.
Does GTBuy ship to my country?
GTBuy forwards worldwide, but the available lines and costs depend on your destination and are shown at checkout. Customs rules are your country's, not the agent's — budget for possible import tax.
